PurrCozi Kitties Adoption Process
Starting the process of adopting your new Ragdoll kitten can be exciting and sometimes a little bit stressful. At PurrCozi Kitties we try to make the adoption process as simple and transparent as possible, so you know exactly what to expect when bringing home your new Ragdoll kitten.

Step 1 ~ Reserving Your Kitten:
At PurrCozi Kitties, we maintain a secure waitlist to ensure families can reserve their spot for future available kitties. This is how our process works...
1. Submit a Kitten Application Form
We ask all potential kitten families to fill out our kitten application form. This helps us get to know you and decide if you will be a good fit for one of our Ragdoll kittens.
2. Approval and Deposit
Once approved we will reach out to you and you will be invited to place a $500 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot on our waitlist. This deposit will be applied to the total purchase price of the kitten you choose (ex: If kitten is $3,500 the remaining balance of $3,000 would be due at the time of pickup).

To ensure that we are working with families who are committed to adopting a kitten and to prevent extended wait times, waiting list deposits are valid for 1 year (unless discussed otherwise) from the time of joining our waitlist. We typically have kittens year-round so this normally is not an issue for future families. Our average wait time is about 2 to 6 months long depending on your preferred kitten.
3. Sign our Kitten Waitlist Contract/Guarantee
To ensure peace of mind to our future kitten families, we provide a kitten waitlist contract. This contract outlines the polices and guarantees of our waitlist to give families a better understanding of our process! We want to be fully transparent with all our kitten families and this gives us a chance to let you know what to expect during the waitlist process.
Once you have been added to our waitlist, you will be added to our waitlist email mailing list! Here we send future kitten families updates, these include future breeding plans, birth announcements, litter updates and kitten updates. We will also be sending families individual updates of the kitten that have chosen bi-weekly.

Alternatively, you can choose not to join the waitlist and instead checkout out our Available Kittens page and our social media where we occasionally have kittens available to the public once our kitten waitlist families have decided on their kitten.
Step Two ~ Choosing your Kitten
As soon as kittens are born we will send out a birth announcement to all of our families on our waitlist and will periodically post update photos of the kittens growing on our social media.
When kittens are around 4-6 weeks of age they will be offered to our waitlist families. Kittens will be shown to families in the order that deposits have been received. To be fair to our kitten families and to avoid long wait periods for all families on our wait list, once kittens have been shown, families will have 24 hours to decide on a kitten. We will then move down the waitlist line in order. The same 24 hour rule applies to each family.

Note~ Once in awhile PurrCozi Kitties will hold back a kitten to observe. That being said, if we decide to hold back a kitten then it will not be offered to the waitlist.

Once families have decided on a kitten, the kitten will then be marked reserved in the families name and any kittens that were not chosen by the waitlist families will be marked available to the public on our website and social media.

Waitlist Families will receive update pictures of their kitten every 1-2 weeks up until go home day.

*If you are not on our waitlist and wish to place a deposit on one of our available kittens the deposit to hold a kitten in your name is $500 and is non-refundable but again transferable up to 1 year to a future kitten if circumstances change.*
Step Three ~ Schedule Pickup/Delivery
Depending on what we see fit kittens are able to go home around 12-14 weeks of age! Around the time kittens are 10-11 weeks old we start to schedule our kitten pickups and deliveries. We have a few different options for pickups and deliveries and are more than happy to accommodate in any way we can. All of our kittens come home with an airport compliant soft carrier, kittens traveling further distances will be provided a hard carrier with food and water.

We have worked with an amazing ground transporter for over 7 years and fully trust them! If you decide on ground transport you will be given her number and communication for delivery will be to your discretion.

*Delivery is not included in the price of the kitten and must be paid in full before kitten leaves our home.*
